The design of respiratory assistance equipment requires very advanced technical know-how from the R&D teams: mechanics and electro-mechanics, electronics, programming of on-board artificial respirator software, high-pressure fluid mechanics and patient interface.
Today, Air Liquide Medical Systems has over 40 researchers and dedicates on average 12% of its turnover to research. In November 2008, the company inaugurated, on the Antony site, its new R&D laboratory and its new production unit of medical respirators.
Air Liquide Medical Systems is a leading company for innovation, now with over 25 inventions and 70 patents.
